1922 Grant with Star 50C Half Dollar NGC Fat Holder MS64
This 1922 Grant with Star Memorial Silver Commemorative half dollar has been graded and certified MS64 by NGC. In addition, the coin is housed in an older generation NGC 4.0 Fat holder.
This coin was struck during 1922 as a centenary souvenir of Ulysses S. Grant’s birth. An incuse (recessed) star that appeared on the first issue was later removed, creating a second variety. The reverse shows the frame house in Point Pleasant , Ohio, where Grant was born on April 27,1822.
The coin is mostly white and lustrous with some edge toning. This coin will make a great addition to an Early Commemorative collection!
