NGC certified and graded AU58 Brown. Originally struck with the intention of being circulated in Ireland, Wood’s Hibernia coinage comes in two denominations and has two reverse types. Several varieties exist. This particular piece is dated 1723 and has the second type reverse. It is the halfpenny issue for this type. The coins were unpopular in Ireland, so some were sent to the America’s for use. The coin at hand is a lightly circulated example. It has chocolate brown surfaces and is free of any major problems or distractions! Please see the pictures for details!
